Biennial Health Development Program

The Biennial Health Development Program is part of the implementation of the National Development Plan 2012-2016.

It has been formulated in order to respond to several major challenges faced by the healthcare sector. It concerns in particular: (i) coverage in integrated health centers and basic hospitals, (ii) the population's limited access to specialized medical care and services, (iii) the low quality of care and services offered by public health establishments (iv) limited availability of reactive drugs and other medical products in health centers and public hospitals, (v) weak human resources management capacities, as well as (vi) inadequate health financing.
