Communiqué on commitments to support One Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for Kenya

In 2015, the Health Measurement and Accountability Post-2015 Roadmap and Five Point Call to Action was endorsed to strengthen country data and accountability systems for sustainable development. This led to the formation of the Health Data Collaborative (HDC) by global stakeholders. In May 2016, the Kenya Health Data Collaborative was organized to develop a roadmap for a common monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plan for the health sector. Despite progress in strengthening routine reporting systems and collecting data from other sectors, low investments and capacity remain challenges. The conference identified six priority areas to improve health services, with commitments from various stakeholders including national and county governments, development partners, FBOs, private sector, and CSOs.
