In view of the socio-health, demographic and economic challenges facing the Tunisian health system, the reform project of the latter has already been initiated. To accelerate implementation it must take advantage of the use of new technologies thus benefiting better digital territorial coverage, the quality achieved by telecommunications networks and, more generally, the development of digital health (e-health), in order to offer citizens, in an equitable manner throughout the Tunisian territory, services local and high-quality health facilities requiring material, human or financial resources that are better controlled than through conventional approaches. The National Strategic Plan Tunisia Digital 2020 has already confirmed this ambition (for a provisional budget of around 70 Million Dinars over the period 2017-2020) and will allow the financing of the conduct of a set of strategic projects which are detailed in this document.
