Health Management Information System Policy

Given identified inadequacies there is a need to create and set-up a functional HMIS that will integrate and report information in a format that is easy to use in order to ensure evidence based decision-making by Department of State for Health and Social Welfare and its partners was made apparent. The World Bank funded project Participatory Health, Population and Nutrition Project presented the opportunity to acquire funding to address some of these issues. This policy will ensure that the HMIS will be an effective tool that facilitates planning, budgeting, as well as monitoring and evaluation of the health care delivery system.
