The main aim of this Health Sector Strategic Development Plan (HSSDP) is to set the stage for implementation of the National Health Policy (NHP), which has been prepared concomitantly. The HSSDP shall facilitate moving from policy to action by providing guidance for the preparation and operations of action plans at all levels of the health sector for the next five years, 2010-2014. Effective materialization of this goal requires preparation and implementation of division (package of interventions), Zone and Sub-Zone specific long and medium tern Action Plans and annual or operational plans.
