The general objective of this policy is to contribute to the improvement of the health system through the inclusive use of information and communication technologies. The policy was based on the eHealth policy initiated in 2008 by the Ministry in charge of Communication and New Technologies, and the inventory on the availability and use of ICT in health establishments carried out by the Agency National Telehealth and Medical Informatics in 2012-2013.
