National eHealth Strategy

The rapid development of ICT networks and services in Niger and the Government's ambition to democratize access to and use of ICT services through the Niger 2.0 strategy, constitute opportunities for the health sector to use them as tools fundamental to improving the efficiency of the Nigerien health system. To take advantage of these opportunities, the Ministry of Public Health has developed this strategy in perfect alignment with the strategic objectives of the Health Development Plan and involving all stakeholders. The action plan resulting from this strategy took into account the technological, institutional and legal environment of the country and retained feasible actions with a high impact on the health system. The major challenge remains the mobilization of financial resources and the establishment of governance mechanisms allowing the projects included in the action plan to be implemented very quickly with maximum efficiency. The Ministry of Public Health will spare no effort for the effective implementation of this strategy so that digital health becomes a reality in our country.
