National Health Development Plan

The Central African Republic developed a National Health Policy in 2000, which was just revised in 2004. This National Health Development Plan is the instrument for implementing this policy. The National Health Development Plan is developed for a period of ten years and covers the period 2006 - 2015. It summarizes the description of the analysis of the health situation of the country with the main problems of the sector and the proposals for interventions according to the strategic axes defined in the national health policy, which are: the strengthening of the institutional framework and partnership, the promotion of reproductive health, the strengthening of the fight against the main diseases including HIV/AIDS and the promotion of an environment conducive to health.
