National Health Development Plan

The National Health Development Plan (2007-2011) aims to improve the state of health of populations in general and of women and children in particular.

It is characterized by the following specific objectives:

  • Reduce ¼ of the maternal mortality rate in 2011.
  • Reduce to ¼ of the mortality rate of children under 5 years old in 2011
  • Control HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis.
  • Reducing the effects of environmental factors and changing unhealthy behaviors in 2011.
