National Health Development Plan

The development of the National Health Development Plan 2017-2022 is part of a dual perspective: the concern to provide solutions to the problems identified by the evaluation of the National Health Development Plan 2012-2015 ending on the one hand and the alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals on the other hand. The National Health Development Plan 2017-2022 has been developed by involving the main stakeholders in the health sector (Ministry of Health and partner administrations, technical and financial partners, actors from civil society and the private healthcare sector). The development process comprised the following four key stages: (i) evaluation of the National Health Development Plan 2012-2015, (ii) analysis of the current health situation, (iii) development of strategic health priorities and ( (iv) development of an implementation and monitoring-evaluation framework.
