The National Health Strategy

This 2009-13 National Health Strategy aim to prioritize the people's concerns on services as identified by the Study on Access to Health Care Services, District Health Services assessment 2005/6 and other relevant studies, as the health system exists to address people's concerns. The Study on Access to Health Care Services, noted the need for adequate staff, medicines, shortages of ambulances, electricity, water supplies, telecommunications and quality of food, as concerns most people wanted addressed. These people needs should therefore be the core business of this health strategy.
