Upgrade Project Health Information System and Electronic Prescription

The Project intends to integrate, in the same digital platform, public and private initiatives that contribute to the improvement of the citizen's health. Among the priorities of the Ministry of Health and Social Security are the reorganization and requalification of the National Health Service, aiming to improve the quality, responses, and effective access of all Cape Verdeans to health care, the waiting time for appointments reduction, and access to diagnostic tools. The government defined as a priority the implementation of the Digital Governance project, which includes the Sanitary Information System project. All in all, it integrates the information of the National Health Service (public and private) on a single technological platform, which aims to: (i) foster transparency in resource management, (ii) improve response to priority diseases and (iv) streamline evidence-based decisions.
