Smart PLMS, or Smart Pharmacy Lifecycle Management System, is a specialized software system that is designed to streamline the management of prescription and drug-related issues in pharmacies. It is an end-to-end solution that manages the entire lifecycle of medication, from the moment a prescription is written by a physician to the moment the patient receives their medication and pays for it.
One of the key features of Smart PLMS is that it enables pharmacists to access the treatment plan prescribed by the physician. This means that once the prescription is entered into the system, the pharmacist can see the specific medication(s) that the patient has been prescribed, along with any dosage instructions or other relevant information. This helps to ensure that the medication is dispensed accurately and safely.
In addition to managing the dispensing of medication, Smart PLMS also facilitates payment for the drugs. The system includes a payment processing module that allows pharmacists to process payments from patients or third-party payers such as insurance companies.
